On Thursday October 15th, Georgetown Retail and Luxury Association had the pleasure of hosting Pauline Brown as part of GRLA’s Book Club Discussion Series to discuss her book: Aesthetic Intelligence: How to Boost it and Use it in Business and Beyond.
Mrs. Brown shared her views on aesthetics and how important they are in a variety of fields - not only in the luxury industry. She discussed her theory on the importance of incorporating aesthetic value into brands’ businesses and products, in order to stand out, stay relevant and create long term value. Using anecdotes from her experiences including as Former Chairman of America for LVMH, she illustrated her ideas using LVMH, Veuve Clicquot but also Vespa and Victoria Secret as examples.
Mrs. Brown also shared her views on the evolution of the fashion and luxury industry, highlighting the necessity for consciousness and sustainability as well as the shift towards Influencer Marketing.
